METHAMPHETAMINES

The most deadly of drugs is the amphetamines, also known as speed. This particular type of drug is not the only of its kind to cause addiction. Methamphetamine enters the brain and triggers a cascading release of norepinephrine, dopamine and serotonin. The effect of this drug is to enhance activates, agility, increased libido and over stimulating the effects of pleasure.

Common nicknames for methamphetamine include crank, meth, ice, crystal, tina, glass, and "yaa baa. Some of the earlies uses of this type of drugs was during the world war where it was used to desensitize pain. This was also used for treatment of depression and fatigue. It has been reported that Adolf Hitler had used these to keep him constantly on the vigil and remove and fatigue.

During the later 70’s the increased use of these drugs forced the government to ban this drug. Some of the physical effects of these drugs are dilated pupils, teeth grinding, shortness of breath, involuntary body movements (twitches, grimacing, lip smacking, etc), increased heart rate, increased blood pressure, Some of the other physical effects are possibly fatal lung and kidney disorders, possible brain damage, lowered resistance to illnesses, and stroke
