DRINKING Water

It has been said that water constitutes more than 70 percent of our body weight. Majority of all organs including skin, liver, lungs, stomach and intestines are composed of water. It is therefore our duty to make sure that our body is constantly complemented with adequate water. Water essentially consists of Hydrogen and oxygen. Water in its purest form may not be available commercially. Hence it is upto us to make sure that the water which we get is suitable for drinking. Boiling and filtering are some of the frequent methods of distilling water.

It has been said that we require atleast eight to ten glasses of water everyday. This will help out flush the toxins that are present in the body. It also keeps the body temperature down to normal. Water helps in proper bowel movements. Lack of adequate water over a considerable period of time will lead to stone formation in the kidneys. Also water is required for the proper functioning of the heart and the brains. We have to make sure that we require atleast 2 litres of water everyday. However, too much of water could lead to lethargy and make a person sluggish in his day to day activities. One must take care to drink plenty of water before and after exercises or sports. Too much of cold water after playing will lead to cold or even fever.
