LSD

LSD stands for Lysergic acid diethylamide. It is a kind of an semi synthetic psychedelic drug which induces heavy pyschadelic effects on to the system . It is one of the components of ergoline. Generally It is used as a recreational drug . The main advantage of LSD is that is sensitive to oxygen, UV light, and chlorine, especially in solution. Dosages of LSD are measured in micrograms (µg), or millionths of a gram . It is very sensitive also to humans and one must observe the threshold level for these in humans . The threshold for psychotropic effect in humans is considered to be 20 to 30µg. This drug has a lot of physical as well as psychological effects. Generally the physical effects include uterine contractions, hypothermia, fever, elevated levels of blood sugar, goose bumps, decrease in heart rate, jaw clenching. A very severe effect of long term effect of the LSD is its psycho emotional effects. This leads to addiction. Deaddiction from this is very difficult. Generally a lot of the countries all around the world prohibit the use of LSD. In the United States it is a banned drug and in the United Kingdom, it is issued under class A of the Drugs. An advantage of LSD is that it is used to treat alcoholism People who have used it have traced that it has a 50% success rate.
