Drugs are the substances which are used for prevention and cure of day to day lifestyle activities. But in recent terms, drugs have been used widely as a negative connotation. Earlier a pharmacist or a druggist would actually prescribe drugs. Nowadays to differentiate between the dangerous psychotic chemicals, we term It as Medicines. These drugs, used mainly for recreational purposes have dangerous effects on the human body and the central nervous system.

Most of these drugs are prohibited in modern usage and the governments control the usage of these drugs. These drugs cause sensations that take us to an imaginary world where we lose our senses and begin to behave very differently.

Drug peddlers all over the world are the most wanted criminals because of the overwhelming burgeoning of the drug trade. Drug trafficking is common in countries like Mexico, Philipines and Thailand.

Skin is also an organ which is not many people recognize. Skin is very important for one’s appearance, one’s personality and personal well being and health. So It is essential that one maintains his skin properly. Drinking plenty of water is one of the methods of keep skin healthy. Skin is made entirely of water. Thus increasing the water intake would remove the dead skin and produces better skin. Water is probably the best way to keep skin glowing. Another interesting fact is that one should always keep the skin a little moist. It should never be dry or very oily.

Washing the face regularly using a mild soap or an anti corrosive soap keeps all the dead cells at bay. IT also reduces the formation of sores and other acne or pimples. These are present due to excess oil secreted by the sebaceous glands. This destroys the look of the skin and in extreme cases, the person becomes emotionally depressed. IT is also essential that one washes the face before going to sleep. This keeps the skin fresh and allows the skin to breathe. Also the excessive use of creams or other solutions to the face should be avoided. The skin should always be left in the open to allow it to breathe. Generally the skin color and the skin type is hereditary, so one must follow the rules in keeping his or her skin safer.

FLUNITRAZEPAM

Flunitrazepam is a highly potent drug that is banned in the common markets. It is a very very powerful sedative, that can be used as pain reliever. In some countries , it is illegally marketed under the name Nilium, Vulbegal. Generally people with chronic insomnia are treated with this drug. This reduces the depression and allows the user to have a comfortable sleep. Any prescription without the consultation of a physician is considered illegal and prohibited by law. It is also a recreational drug under the common name as a “date rape drug”. This drug is under the classification of nitrobenzodiazepine. This flunitrazepan is generally than 7 to 8 times more potent than the commercial diazepine

The effects of these drugs can last for upto 12 hours after injection. Increased usage of this drug can lead to physical dependence on a very large scale. Addiction occurs and without, the persistent use of the drug, the drug can trigger severe insomnia and depression. Rebound insomnia occurs after baseline insomnia. The bad effects of this rebound insomnia are that these drugs will enhance the dependency. Overdose of this drug leads to death. Generally most suicide patients swallow this drug in large quantities. DRINKING Water

It has been said that water constitutes more than 70 percent of our body weight. Majority of all organs including skin, liver, lungs, stomach and intestines are composed of water. It is therefore our duty to make sure that our body is constantly complemented with adequate water. Water essentially consists of Hydrogen and oxygen. Water in its purest form may not be available commercially. Hence it is upto us to make sure that the water which we get is suitable for drinking. Boiling and filtering are some of the frequent methods of distilling water.

It has been said that we require atleast eight to ten glasses of water everyday. This will help out flush the toxins that are present in the body. It also keeps the body temperature down to normal. Water helps in proper bowel movements. Lack of adequate water over a considerable period of time will lead to stone formation in the kidneys. Also water is required for the proper functioning of the heart and the brains. We have to make sure that we require atleast 2 litres of water everyday. However, too much of water could lead to lethargy and make a person sluggish in his day to day activities. One must take care to drink plenty of water before and after exercises or sports. Too much of cold water after playing will lead to cold or even fever.

PARACETAMOL

Paracetamol is one of the widely used drugs for common medicine. It has exceptional qualities that make it an antipyretic and an analgesic. It is used in symptoms of common cold and headaches. It is also used for minor aches and pains in the body. It is commercially and freely available in the markets and they generally do not have any dangerous side effects. It may be also administered directly to children. However certain studies have revealed that their increase could lead to potential asthma. Paracetamols do not have any anti inflammatory actions and inhibits the production thromboxenes. This type of drug is mainly metabolized in the liver.

It has scientifically proven from a study that the rate or the efficiency of this drug is more than ninety percent. Generally the paracetamol is not toxic. However the increased usage of this drug may lead to potential liver failiure. It is generally used to treat migraines. It is found to be lethal to snakes . It does not cause any haemorrage in humans and it is found to have greater relief using it rather than using aspirin. Symptoms of phenacetin are very vague and minute. This make the drug potent and helpful to the anibodies. Although this drug eases the pain quite comfortably, the mechanism of action of these drugs still remain a debate

METHAMPHETAMINES

The most deadly of drugs is the amphetamines, also known as speed. This particular type of drug is not the only of its kind to cause addiction. Methamphetamine enters the brain and triggers a cascading release of norepinephrine, dopamine and serotonin. The effect of this drug is to enhance activates, agility, increased libido and over stimulating the effects of pleasure.

Common nicknames for methamphetamine include crank, meth, ice, crystal, tina, glass, and "yaa baa. Some of the earlies uses of this type of drugs was during the world war where it was used to desensitize pain. This was also used for treatment of depression and fatigue. It has been reported that Adolf Hitler had used these to keep him constantly on the vigil and remove and fatigue.

During the later 70’s the increased use of these drugs forced the government to ban this drug. Some of the physical effects of these drugs are dilated pupils, teeth grinding, shortness of breath, involuntary body movements (twitches, grimacing, lip smacking, etc), increased heart rate, increased blood pressure, Some of the other physical effects are possibly fatal lung and kidney disorders, possible brain damage, lowered resistance to illnesses, and stroke

SEDATIVES

Sedatives are the drugs that are used to induce a person to calm or to sleep. This allows a person who has been treated with sedatives to be in a relaxed state of mind. Sometimes, these drugs may also act as hypnotics like drugs. Genarlly, these form of drugs can be identified as tranquilizers, depressants, and sleeping pills. Sleeping pills form an important part of sedatives. These pills are administered to people who are generally very restless and who are in a distressed state. These drugs have to be prescribed in a very small amount, otherwise excess dosage of these drugs can lead to a person to be in an unconscious state or may even prove fatal in certain cases

Barbiturates come under sedatives. Benzodiazepines are other classifications of sedatives. These benzodiazepines are mild tranquilizers. They are administered to patients to remove anxiety and tension. Commonly these sedatives can also be used as a local anesthesia to children and young adults. In lots of cases, the patient becomes untractable during surgeries or operations. These sedatives help a person to calm . Generally these do not have side effects. Care should be taken such that these sedatives are not given to alcohol dependent patients as they could trigger inverse effects and induce mental injury.

COCAINE

Cocaine is widely used drug. It is obtained from the coca plant. It is generally used in the Eye and nose surgery of children as it produces anesthesia. It is one of the most sought after drugs in commercial usage. Its use as an illicit drug is banned in all sports including the Olympics. Event he worldwide sale of this drug is illegal and the government enforces a ban on these substances

It had been seen that by the end of the eighteenth century and the beginning of the nineteenth century, the addiction of cocaine became very large. People who used cocaine were generally termed as bohemians, gang boys, burglars, and pimps. It has been said that this drug causes extreme attractions towards the opposite sex. This use made them very popular in nightclubs and discotheques.

The illegal sale of cocaine in the United states alone crossed over 70 billion dollars. This is by far the largest for any drug that has been smuggled all over the world. Cocaine injection triggers audio distortion . Smoking cocaine can cause hallucinations, itching and paranoid delusions. It increases the temperature of the body and severe usage of this drug can cause a heart stroke. Studies have also shown that they trigger premature labor. It has been increasingly used by youths. The use of this drug leads to lethargy and psychological damage.

GHB

GHB stands for gamma hydroxybutyric acid. This acid is generally found in the central nervous system of the human body. It has been illegally obtained and refined in many countries forcing them to put a ban on these substances. In the medical levels, it is used as a general anesthetic and is used to to treat clinical depression. It is an intoxicant. It dissolves in solution very easily and is used commonly as a date rape drug. GHB is again a recreational drug. Excess dosage of this can lead to increased libido, increased socialization and intoxication. Over excessive usage of this drug can damage the central nervous system leading to drowsiness, amnesia and violent visual disturbances. The effect of GHB can last for quite sometime, up to 3 hours. It is available as a white crystalline powder dissolving very easily. Since the 70’s, most of the Rave parties all around the world used this drug. This causes an increased perception to music. It is odorless and flavorless and cannot be noticed easily. Physical symptoms of this drug are nausea, followed by increased lethargy , respiratory depression . Sometimes, increased usage may also prove fatal. A single dose of over 3000mg may prove fatal and in this case, it is very difficult to resuscitate the person.
